\title Qt for HarmonyOS
\brief Provides information about HarmonyOS support in Qt.
\ingroup supportedplatform
\note Qt for HarmonyOS is in technology preview and may change in future
releases.
Qt for HarmonyOS enables you to develop Qt applications for HarmonyOS devices.
Qt for HarmonyOS provides the platform integration, build and packaging support,
and the platform plugin that connect the cross-platform Qt libraries (such as Qt
Core, Qt GUI, Qt Quick, and Qt Widgets) to HarmonyOS. A Qt application is
packaged into a HarmonyOS Ability Package (HAP) and runs on the device through
the HarmonyOS platform plugin.
\section1 Key features and capabilities
\list
\li \b{Cross-platform development.} Write your application code once, typically
a Qt Quick application with a C++ back-end, and deploy it on HarmonyOS
alongside the other platforms that Qt supports, with minimal or no
adjustments.
\li \b{Native performance.} The Qt runtime is compiled for HarmonyOS, so it runs
as native code on the device.
\li \b{Rich UI components.} Use \l{Qt Quick} and \l{Qt Quick Controls} for
responsive interfaces, or \l{Qt Widgets} for traditional widget-based UIs.
\li \b{C++ integration.} Reuse existing C++ libraries and high-performance
native code.
\endlist

\section1 Supported configurations
Building and developing with Qt for HarmonyOS is supported on
Windows(x86_64)/Linux(x86_64)/macOS(x86_64)/macOS(Apple Silicon)
development hosts.
The following configurations are supported in this Qt release:

used for building the official Qt for HarmonyOS libraries to avoid
missing symbol errors.

\note There is a plan to switch to later HarmonyOS releases in the future.
