qabstractitemmodel.cpp ! \class QModelRoleData \inmodule QtCore \since 6.0 \ingroup model-view \brief The QModelRoleData class holds a role and the data associated to that role. QModelRoleData objects store an item role (which is a value from the Qt::ItemDataRole enumeration, or an arbitrary integer for a custom role) as well as the data associated with that role. A QModelRoleData object is typically created by views or delegates, setting which role they want to fetch the data for. The object is then passed to models (see QAbstractItemModel::multiData()), which populate the data corresponding to the role stored. Finally, the view visualizes the data retrieved from the model. \sa {Model/View Programming}, QModelRoleDataSpan 151278 -

qabstractproxymodel.cpp ! \since 4.1 \class QAbstractProxyModel \brief The QAbstractProxyModel class provides a base class for proxy item models that can do sorting, filtering or other data processing tasks. \ingroup model-view \inmodule QtCore This class defines the standard interface that proxy models must use to be able to interoperate correctly with other model/view components. It is not supposed to be instantiated directly. All standard proxy models are derived from the QAbstractProxyModel class. If you need to create a new proxy model class, it is usually better to subclass an existing class that provides the closest behavior to the one you want to provide. Proxy models that filter or sort items of data from a source model should be created by using or subclassing QSortFilterProxyModel. To subclass QAbstractProxyModel, you need to implement mapFromSource() and mapToSource(). The mapSelectionFromSource() and mapSelectionToSource() functions only need to be reimplemented if you need a behavior different from the default behavior. \note If the source model is deleted or no source model is specified, the proxy model operates on a empty placeholder model. \sa QSortFilterProxyModel, QAbstractItemModel, {Model/View Programming} 17436 -

qidentityproxymodel.cpp ! \since 4.8 \class QIdentityProxyModel \inmodule QtCore \brief The QIdentityProxyModel class proxies its source model unmodified. \ingroup model-view QIdentityProxyModel can be used to forward the structure of a source model exactly, with no sorting, filtering or other transformation. This is similar in concept to an identity matrix where A.I = A. Because it does no sorting or filtering, this class is most suitable to proxy models which transform the data() of the source model. For example, a proxy model could be created to define the font used, or the background colour, or the tooltip etc. This removes the need to implement all data handling in the same class that creates the structure of the model, and can also be used to create re-usable components. This also provides a way to change the data in the case where a source model is supplied by a third party which cannot be modified. \snippet code/src_gui_itemviews_qidentityproxymodel.cpp 0 \sa QAbstractProxyModel, {Model/View Programming}, QAbstractItemModel 22119 -

qitemselectionmodel.cpp ! \class QItemSelectionRange \inmodule QtCore \brief The QItemSelectionRange class manages information about a range of selected items in a model. \ingroup model-view \compares equality A QItemSelectionRange contains information about a range of selected items in a model. A range of items is a contiguous array of model items, extending to cover a number of adjacent rows and columns with a common parent item; this can be visualized as a two-dimensional block of cells in a table. A selection range has a top(), left() a bottom(), right() and a parent(). The QItemSelectionRange class is one of the \l{Model/View Classes} and is part of Qt's \l{Model/View Programming}{model/view framework}. The model items contained in the selection range can be obtained using the indexes() function. Use QItemSelectionModel::selectedIndexes() to get a list of all selected items for a view. You can determine whether a given model item lies within a particular range by using the contains() function. Ranges can also be compared using the overloaded operators for equality and inequality, and the intersects() function allows you to determine whether two ranges overlap. \sa {Model/View Programming}, QAbstractItemModel, QItemSelection, QItemSelectionModel 72023 -
